FastTracSC, a coalition of agencies with a vision of creating new businesses, new jobs and new wealth for South Carolinians

EuroLux Antiques is now Contributing Monthly to Help Homeless Pets!
EuroLux Antiques has a soft spot for fuzzy babies, and we only wish we could give all homeless pets a home. For nearly 20 years, most of our pets
have come from Pets, Inc. in West Columbia, South Carolina. (The two that didn't were strays rescued off the street by us!)
Pets, Inc. is a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter. Since beginning operations around 1992, Pets, Inc has rescued more
than 30,000 homeless pets and has been instrumental in spaying and neutering over 36,000 pets. Pets, Inc. receives no government funding for its operations and depends
solely on contributions from concerned pet lovers. Since we cannot take all pets in and give them a home, we can help financially. We now contribute monthly to Pets, Inc and plan to increase our
contributions as sales allow. Every dollar contributed goes to help spay or neuter animals and provide food and shelter.
If you love pets as much as we do at EuroLux Antiques,
please consider donating directly to them from the link on our website or pay their website a visit by clicking on the image below. Thanks for your help!

EuroLux Antiques Shares Entrepreneurial Spirit With Graduate Students at the University of South Carolina Moore School of Business
Aimee Talbot (MIBS ’01) and husband Greg Talbot (BS ’92, JD/MIBS ’98) are the owners of EuroLux Antiques in Newberry, South Carolina.
The Talbots’ interest in antiques grew out of a weekend hobby - shopping antique stores to furnish a newlywed apartment while living in Germany,
where Greg worked for the American company Terex. They "fell in love" with European antiques and began to consider the idea that fellow Americans
might enjoy them, too.

We're taking our business all over South Carolina and the East Coast and getting the word out one person at a time. The thrill of the chase is part of the fun, as well as the triumphal satisfaction of finding just the right piece to complete a room in your own unique style.

Columbia's Parade of Homes at Quail Ridge was a Huge Success!
EuroLux Antiques was honored to work with Holly Millikan and Carolina Custom Homes to supply four stunning antique and vintage pieces for House #1 at the 2005 Parade of Homes at Quail Ridge in Columbia, SC. We met a lot of great folks during the two-week show, and one-by-one, people are learning that antique and vintage pieces from EuroLux Antiques can be the focal point of any room and the sense of history created in a room using one-of-a-kind antiques is something you can't get at a chain furniture store. EuroLux Antiques hopes to have many more opportunities like this in the future so that we can spread the word about our unique concept.

Alumni Feature: Aimee and Greg Talbot open European antique importing business
Special thanks to Gary Zeigler for this picture
When Greg and Aimee Talbot say they want their business to be one of the major players in the U.S. market for imported European antiques—believe them. They are determinedly pursuing their dream. In little more than a year, the Talbots have conducted market research, written a business plan, purchased retail space in Newberry, opened a showroom, scoured European markets, and purchased and sold hundreds of pieces. They have purchased advertising in magazines and on billboards, attended trade and home shows, and networked with interior designers. Read More...
